Laconia Savings Bank is expanding its Marketing Department, and has created a new role to assist the Director of Marketing in the strategic planning process to ultimately support the ongoing growth of our institution.

The Market Analyst will have the primary responsibility of maintaining the bank’s customer information database.  Using our MCIF system, this analyst will maximize our current information to analyze customer trends as they relate to existing and future products, as well as to identify future trends, which may include forecasting areas where future market growth is anticipated. 

In a collaborative effort with the appropriate departments, this person will analyze and distribute database information through various reports and statistics, and will have the responsibility of defining and analyzing internal and external segments for customers and prospects.

Additional responsibility includes collecting promotional, advertising, public relations and growth data on the bank’s primary competitors, and facilitating customer surveys as needed.  

Qualified applicants with have a Bachelor’s Degree in business, marketing or related field, as well as at least 2 years of experience working in a marketing/consumer research position of similar duties and responsibilities.  One year of database/MCIF experience required. 

The ideal candidate will possess a curiosity and enthusiasm for data and a bias for details with the ability to communicate research results in an articulate and professional manner both verbally and in writing.  Strong organization skills are required, including the ability to function efficiently under deadlines as well as handle multiple projects simultaneously.

Advanced knowledge of Windows and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, MS Project & PowerPoint) software applications is necessary.
